Repent Sinners! The End times Are Upon Us! They Say So At Walmart.
Edited on Sat Jul-22-06 06:43 PM by DistressedAmerican
I just heard as much from the blessed preacher Dr. John Hagee.

He has a message for you heathen liberals. CONVERT NOW or face eternal hellfire!

http://www.jhm.org/

Did you know that Hagee's book is flying off of the shelves at Walmart? What more proof do you need? WHy do you refuse to accept the truth that is right there at the big well-lit store?

Still time for you to accept Jesus and the eventual destruction of those Jews that do not convert at his mighty hand! It is written! It can not be unwritten!

-

So read up sinner and be saved!

http://www.jhm.org/beliefs.asp

Find the kind of peace and happiness that these two fine white-folks enjoy everyday!

And if you have sex, it better be for baby making! god does not like any other kind!

REPENT! THE END IS NEAR!

===================================================================

Least I thought I could do is steal some of this guy's bandwidth.

Not like he pays for it. It comes out of the collection plate!

Will people pay to believe any depressing and nonsensical fear-mongering?

1. I saw 30 seconds of this nut on the tube and......
it turned my stomach. Religious wackos will eventually lead to the destruction of mankind.
They prophetize about the future then set policy to make sure it happens.

3. Actually, WalMart's book selection is quite small and narrow
They are not on the level of B&N. Leading in sales at Wally World really does not say much.

27. It says....
...along with P.T. Barnum, that another sucker is born every minute.

Not a one of these poor folks have the slightest clue that The Rapture and all the attendant "prophecy" that goes with it, was never a part of Christian doctrine or teaching until some guy invented it out of thin air in the mid 1800's.

Tell an evangelical or a fundamentalist that and they just stare at you; it's all just clicks and whistles...

But it's made false prophets (or more precisely: profits) loads of money over the past decades. :puke:

19. Heard somewhere last week...
that half the sales that put books on the NYT best seller list occur at Wal Mart. Sorry, can't remember where I got that, but it's scary if true.

22. That's just the problem. It has a short list, and this crap has a
predominaent place on it. It's the WalMart model - undercut the opposition, then, when there's no where else to go, they'll buy what you have to sell because that's all there is.

4. When I was religious + younger, I used to watch his show all the time...
I actually used to believe bad things would happen to me if I didn't. Of course I grew up and realized that if God really does exist, he probably won't be sending me to hell for not watching this dick head.

But seriously, these people believe it. I remember around Y2K, boy was I scared. Silly me.

7. Of course Rev. Popoff is better...
they literally put him on Comedy Central (so I thought it was a joke) but seriously this fella is 100 times worse than Hagee:
http://www.peterpopoff.org/

The miracle water is free:

But you have to pay for his "Divine Transfer Kit":

Only a love gift of $89.99 is required to get this $390 value. Hallelujah! "Praise the Lord, my husband just bought me a Mercedes!" <-Watch the infomercial on Comedy Central, someone actually said that.

8. Oh, they have nut jobs too...
and in fact their nut jobs receive a higher Taliban-meter reading.

There are also Jewish terrorist groups who believe they must blow up the al-Aqsa mosque (and build a new temple) in order to bring about the coming of the Messiah. Thankfully Israel keeps their nuts in line and out of government.

15. Ugh
Hagee is 500 pounds of pure, unadulterated bullshit. I've seen him on TBN, ranting loudly about how feminism is a "lie" (or something like that) and how Bush is absolutely, positively RIGHT. Any of us could probably win a debate against him easily, but of course, we'll never debate him, because he's such a Great Christian and we're such Godless morons :sarcasm:
