Just watched "Why We Fight"....
I highly recommend this documentary to everyone. Stark, revealing, educational, an emotionally moving film.

What gets pushed forward is Ike's farewell address warning of the "military-industrial complex". That the people's only defense against unwarranted rise to power of unaccountable groups or individuals are the people's ability to stay informed and to be vigilant.

A warning to all about the very kinds of people now running our govt.

One high point of the film: (there are many)
Lt.Col. (ret) Karen Kwiatkowski stated in the film that she would not allow either of her two children to join the military of today because it is not about "defending" the country, it's about implementing someone's agenda.

One revealing moment of the film:
Scumbag defense contractor (KBR) at a Convention for military hardware pawning his card trick skills to military personnel while saying to them "we're in collusion with you guys, the military and KBR"...

Yeah, no shit. Capitalism and militarism.

Why were the targets on 9/11 the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? Gee, let me think.

The Scariest Damn Film You'll See This Year"
AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM
"FOUR STARS (Highest Rating). The scariest damn film you'll see this year. It will leave you staggering out of the theater, slack-jawed and trembling. Makes 'Fahrenheit 9/11' look like 'Bambi.' After watching this movie, your comfy, secure notions about America -- and about what it means to be an American -- will be forever shattered. Producer/director Aaron Russo and the folks at Cinema Libre Studio deserve to be heralded as heroes of a post-modern New American Revolution. This is shocking stuff. You'll be angry, you'll be disgusted, but you may actually break out in a cold sweat and feel a sickness deep in your gut; I would advise movie theater managers to hand out vomit bags. You may end up needing one."
