Something to confuse people who don't believe in Global Warming
According to them, we supposedly can't change the climate of the planet.

But...

We can drive species into extinction.
We can irradiate the planet for 10's of 1000's of years.
We can change the landscape.

We can change the face of the Earth, and we can destroy the fellow occupants of our planet, but we can't change it's temperature, that's kind of odd if you ask me.

1. Great point
I wish I had all the refutations for the Global Warming skeptics, so I could carry them around with me.

My friend told me that globar warming alarmists were in it to make money from their research grants. I countered, "Wouldn't they make a lot more money working for Exxon?" Then I pointed to Richard Lindzen's $2500/day consulting fees to oil companies.

He just sighed and said that climate models aren't real science. As if he would know.

2. It's hotter than crap here the last couple days...
95 or so two days running. This is HOT for Washington State. Not unknown, but remarkable in the literal sense.

118°F on saturday.

116°F was today's high; which beats the record high of 112°F set back in 1906.

Right now, @ 9:52pm it is 108°F.

Electric bill for this month on a 400 sq./ft. apartment: ~US$100

7-day forecast:

5. Here's what I don't get about people who think we Global Warming
freaks are wrong. If we are wrong, but we try to change and remedy our ways and the environment, and succeed, what have we hurt? OTOH, if those who thing GW is "junk science" are wrong and don't do anything to change our current path and are wrong, then we are doomed. Does that make sense?
