...who are from Lebanon..or ties to the country?

I am wondering how people living in America--who are from Lebanon or have close ties to Lebanon--feel about this entire situation and all of the countries involved?

I can't imagine how heartbreaking and stressful it would be--to have relatives or friends in Lebanon--and to watch this war escalate.

Are the Lebanese people in America completely enraged by BushCo being against a cease fire?

Also, I wonder how Lebanese people feel about Hezbolla? Do they resent this terrorist organization screwing things up for the entire nation? Do they try to distance themselves from Hezbolla?

There are Lebanese people in America who are Muslim; some are Christian. Are most Lebanese people in agreement about the current crisis in Lebanon?

Please pardon all of the questions. I'm trying to learn about the situation as best I can. I read another DU posters' story about the people from Lebanon that she cried with at the grocery store. That really touched me.

I'm trying to understand this situation and what Lebanese people in America are going through. Thanks for any thoughts or insight.

2. We had a friend some years ago from Lebanon...

He worked with Hubby.

He was rabidly anti-Israel because of all the things that had happened before. He screamed at me when I said that it was 'an eye for an eye' mentality and there were too many blind people in the ME. He was so enraged that Hubby and I left.

Hubby told me the other night he wondered if Terek was with Hezbollah now. I replied if he's still alive, he probably would be given how fanatic he was.
