4. Does Bush personally sign the letters to the parents and family members? |
|
Or is it just a rubber-stamp operation now? Or does Rumsfailed do it?

Wasn't there a flap a couple of years ago over him rubber-stamping the letters rather than personally signing each?
He and Bush** should both have to sign each letter personally. Maybe it'd bring it a little closer to home if they actually had to spend some time with those letters.

7. Let us not forget the wounded |
|
U.S. wounded: 18777 Journalists killed: 93 Iraqi civilians: 39272 - 43731 This does not include the number of casualties among other coaltion forces, Iraqi Army or security forces, their wounded, or the number of missing persons. Neither do these stats reflect the number of children among the casualties.
In addition, there is no firm number for the Iraqis imprisoned or tortured.
As far as I know, there have been no stats ever offered on the damage to Iraqi infrastructure and how that compares to pre-invasion Iraq; ie, number of operative schools and hospitals, power plants, factories, etc. What is the availability now of fresh water, food, medicine? How much oil is now being pumped and how much capital from that natural resource is actually going back into the Iraqi economy? Yes, the list could go on and on, but the bottom line speaks FAILURE on so many levels. On economic levels, on humanitarian levels.
But of course it is Saddam Hussein (bastard that he is) on trial at the Hague because when George Bush massacres a nation it's in the name of "freedom and democracy". Mission accomplished, eh?
