Out nearly 60,000 votes. I can't understand why anyone would say no to that. Sorry if this is a dupe, I woke up a little late today.

2. My hope
is that a ceasefire will go into effect for BOTH sides, not just the Israelis.I also hope that Israel's prisoners from the West Bank and Lebanon that are held without charges are released in return for the return of those soldiers. I also hope that Israel would change their laws to make sure that everyone who is arrested is brought up on charges or released. This segment of their law is similar to the Patriot Act abomination that we have. I say this as someone who is pro-Israel. I think most of us here on both sides would like to see an end to the violence and killing of civilians on both sides.

5. maybe, just maybe everyone is tired of violence... and deathly
afraid that this war will somehow lead to the US going into another war with no end in site. Remember the people who fight in these wars are the people who vote repug. normally.

6. I'm pleasantly surprised.
Given the media barrage I would have expected less than 50%.
