6. The Hague won't hold hearings unless a sovereign nation

files a complaint. So what is Canada waiting for? Otherwise they will have to wait until Iraq's government files a complaint, which is unlikely as they are US sycophants. Maybe Saddam could if the Hague believes he was removed unlawfully.

We currently have, temporarily I hope, a bush wannabe phony conservative government in power. Adding to that, even if the Liberals were to gain back power, they would not file either, too much at stake regarding their own self-interests. In all honesty, there is no party in Canada that would be brave enough to do that, imo.

30. I agree, it is sad Canada, in recent years, has not stood up to the

Emperor with NO clothes. The last Prime Minister who half-way attempted to was Jean Chretien and, at this point, I wish he were the Prime Minister now. He would NOT be supporting the US and Israel unilaterally, as our current bastard is, but, rather taking a position that would allow Canada to be an honest broker in the current crisis. Even he would not have filed a complaint with the UN regarding US war crimes, sadly. The only time the bush cabal takes notice of Canada is if we piss him off or if we are kissing his pimply ass and the current government ain't gonna do the former and is already doing the latter.

28. Just to be devil's advocate here - what about President

Clinton's bombing in Serbia over Kosovo without any UN resolution backing him up? How would your petition affect him, Sec of State Albright, and (then Commander of the US European Command) GEN Wes Clark ?

Serbia did try and convict them in absentia. If they ever visits Serbia, they may be nabbed to serve up to 20-year sentences.

Shouldn't high-minded initiatives apply to those we like as well as those we don't?

Here's a good hypothetical - suppose Osama bin Laden made his way to Serbia and they offered to trade him for Clinton, Albright & Clark. Should we take the deal?
