C&L:Josh Bolten squirms during Stem Cell questions

I doubt Josh Bolten will be back on MTP anytime soon. I’ll post more of his appearance, but Timmeh made Bush’s stem cell veto laughable and indefensible,

http://www.crooksandliars.com/posts/2006/07/23/josh-bolten-squirms-during-stem-cell-questions/

Once Tony Snow called it murder-it was downhill from there as it should be.

Russert asked Bolten if Bush thinks it’s murder then why doesn’t he outlaw it altogether. When he was asked about Karl Rove’s take on stem cell research that could not be backed up by scientists-Bolten said he wasn’t a scientist.

Bolten also said there are wide differences of opinion on Stem Cell research. There are only two. People who think the research will save and help the quality of life and the James Dobson version. As has been noted, only 128 snowflake babies have been adopted out of 400,000. Meanwhile, our government:

Nightlight, which has received more than $800,000 in grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to promote embryo adoptions, is one of only a few agencies that treat embryos exactly like infants.

He was tap-dancing and hemming and hawing about does the chimp think stem cell research is MURDER.

He couldn't get Timmeh off his back. I loved it!

4. Imagine if Timmy did his job every week
They would have a tougher time selling their continuous line of BS if someone in the press routinely held them accountable for their inconsistencies.

5. What happened to Russert? New insect overlords?
Timmy put Bolten on the spot and wouldn't let him slither away. If Tim had done his job this well over the last six years -- instead of throwing whiffle balls at Bush & Co. -- our nation would be so much better off.

But I'm suspicious when someone like Timmy changes hats so fast. What's up -- has he decided that as a respected member of the television news media, he can be of great use to our new insect overlords?

17. That was my take also. I think almost everyone
has someone close to them that suffers from one of the major ailments that might be cured sooner by ESCR. Tim must have a dear relative or friend suffering in the worst way, or guaranteed to suffer if no cure is found.

7. Remember the "International Test"
that John Kerry got roasted for? Basically, you should be able to explain to the international community why you are taking the action you are taking. It's much the same here. You should be able to explain your position to the country on a specific issue. If the president and his people are this ashamed of his position on stem cells, maybe his position is wrong.

8. How touching that they are so concerned that my tax dollars are
being spent on murder. I would much rather see my tax dollars spent on the hoped for life-giving results of stem cell research than on the weapons of war which have already killed tens of thousands of Iraqis.

9. will the president demand funerals for each of the 400,000 embryos that
will be discarded, if not used for stem cell research? If not, why? He has said these embryos are alive, are human beings, potential snowflake babies.

11. He was "blinking eyes" and chewing his mustach with stress UNTIL
Russert mentioned his forced "confirmation hearings" coming up this Thursday with a vote shortly after. He beamed at Russerts confirmation that Repug Senator Voinovitch had dropped his disapproval of him...and now instead of being a "Recess Bush Appointment" Bolton has the overwhelming chance of becoming "LEGITIMATE!!!!"

Whose going to bet he doesn't get overwhelmingly confirmed by Dems and Repugs because we are "In a TIME OF WAR" and one doesn't "change boats in midstream." A Dem Cave? It's not worth dealing with the Nuke option just for Bolton...is it... :-(

16. Wrong person?
Think you're referring to John Bolton, the bush-idjit at the UN. This thread is about
Josh Bolten, Big Idjit's Chief of Staff. I saw Russert going for a TKO, but he pulled
back at the last punch or two, and allowed the bloody Bolten to crawl back to his corner.
It was one of Timmy's better moments, which have been few and far between...
:spank:
How can these WH assholes go to sleep at night? They have ZERO ethics, morals,
citizenship, any redeeming qualities. Once you understand they're Rove's Robots,
it all becomes clear. All must be extinguished, soon. Say November 7, 2006?
