They suck
My family, and my wife's family. They cannot be satisfied. The old Porsche must be replaced with the latest Porsche. Backpacking to them is roaring into an RV lot with the maximum legal sized behemoth on wheels. No convienience that they have at home can be overlooked while "camping". Even the martini glasses are chilled. Generators whine to allow them all the comforts. Conversation runs between what they want next, racists jokes, how arabs must be stopped, pity not being able to vote for * a third time, how the wrong people are having too many kids, what freightens them, on and on and on...........

I decided long ago that I will only rarely, with family, voice an opinion. I save real conversation for real people. These people are hopelessly trapped in their own greed and fear. They might as well pull out the dildoes and porn because everything is about masterbation, self materbation, the pursuit of complete self gratification; it's what god wants of them.

The corporations and the government have been successful in breeding a population of selfish, violent, greedy, slovenly, freightened pigs.

They haven't a clue who I am. It's going to stay that way.

1. What an awesome bunch!
Your description is hilariously frightening and depressing.
I have had the displeasure of being in a peaceful camping spot
in my tent in a campground on the N Calif coast when such
a group pulled up with the aforementioned behemoth.
I could not believe the generator! Kinda kills the back
to nature ambiance if you ask me.

7. And everything surrounding them
is spotless. Even when they "camp." There's something weird about the sterility in their lives. They know from the bible that cleanliness is next to godliness, so if they are really clean, they must be gods.

that makes me smile about Reagan is that he died a hideous death.

3. As part of the RV crowd, I always made sure that my RV was
really small. Those behemouth, diesal, environmental disasters on wheels can't get into the best campgrounds that mother nature still has a say in because the spaces won't accommodate them and there aren't the hookups there that they think they need.

10. We spent weeks there when we first discovered the area.
We stayed on the Lake San Antonio side though and the reason we spent such a long time there is we broke down and the Paso Robles repair shop was a little slow.

4. The corporations, the government, AND THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT
have been successful in breeding a population of selfish, violent, greedy, slovenly, freightened pigs.
Just added that third part for you, I'll assume it was just an oversight :-)

I become more and more sickened by my christian right friends every day. They have a complete ignorance of the selfishness that just exudes from every single pore of their body.

Beat me to it!

If it's an older, air/oli-cooled 911, it's gonna be a cherry!

But then again, maybe you can get it after they "rapture."

11. Frightened.
I've seen this message several times, and it seems a real winner. Republicans are people who are *scared*. They lack courage, or bravery, and seek to assuage their fears by, oh, trying to distort the world into an acceptable comfort zone.

13. Every one of my husband's relatives are like that.
My neighbors, etc. Some of them don't have the money those two have, but they believe that their lives will improve under the Bush policies, just like a pyramid group. I really, really need to get out of here before I go stark raving mad from the cognitive dissonance. I'm telling you, we left-leaning Americans need to start reaching out and creating schools and community centers to get away from these assholes.

14. Walkin to the campground latrine a coupla weeks ago...
past an RV specimen of the sort you describe with multiple Dubya stickers. He'z desperately tryin to start his charcoal in the BBQ bit with fist fulls of spanish moss and branches he'd gathered. Harvesting firewood is a major no no in this park, but he appeared to have it goin.

On the way back from the latrine, hez generated some marvelous smoke signals and iz lookin for more branches. After greeting him I jibed him about the penalty for harvesting firewood. He looked at me like he'd just been condemned to hell and said "I've got plenty of money." The starter fluid I wuz gunna offer 'em remains stowed in our '62 Scout, easily the oldest & ugliest RV thare.

17. I was thinking of this type just yesterday re: all of the news about
rolling blackouts and power companies not being able to keep up with demand. So hand in hand with the RW deregulation is the increased demand from people who take more power than they need and end up making it so no one (including themselves) can get it. It's kind of an analogy, I guess.
