1. To tell you the truth
I am very disappointed in the Democrat party. I appreciate the fact that legislatively the Democrats are having a difficult time because of the Republican games being played with Senate and House rules. However, there has not been enough Democrat strength taking the case to the American public and forcing grass roots change. Murtha is really the only one the average American can point to as being against the war -- and that is only because he jumped to the front with all of Mean Jean's nasty comments.

For all the complaints about the "RW media" I am not convinced it's the national media holding the Democrats back. Surely our Democrat leaders and reps know by now how to garner attention to get the message out. If not, how in the world did they get their jobs in the first place? No - the fact is the Democrats do have an adequate amount of venues to get our a strong clear message of what direction we need to go from here. But the message is muddy and weak. The Democrats in general are so worried about offending Bush's base that they refuse to take the big risk and throw it out there. I see very little really bold leadership.

IMHO we have 2 incompetant parties running the country - not just the republicans.

4. I agree with you...to a point..
Many Dem leaders have sacrificed their principles to "try to get along"...and not offend their donors.
