Congressman Conyers:New Revelations About Torture
The Toronto Star is reporting that Jordan has been serving as a hub of torture involving detainees and that the United States has continued with renditions despite having made assurances to the contrary.

Security agents in Jordan are torturing terrorism suspects on behalf of the United States in hopes of forcing confessions, the human rights watchdog Amnesty International contended in a new report Monday....

"Jordan appears to be a central hub in a global complex of secret detention centers operated by the U.S. in coordination with foreign intelligence agencies," said Malcolm Smart, director of Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa unit and an author of the report.

When Condoleeza Rice visited Europe last December, she repeated the claim that the United States does not export its detainees to other countries to be tortured. A close look at Amnesty's findings seems to be called for here.

2. New Revelations About Torture
No we all knew about this, I guess some people didn't pay attention to the leak of secret CIA torture chambers in nations we give military aid to.

We've been ignoring the Geneva Convention for over 3 fucking years now...and now a revelation? How much do they pay these guys? At least it is some awesome like Conyers bring this up.

3. Denial, denial
Does the average person feel so powerless that we endure flaunting our constitution and internation law? Or is it Joe Six Pac's ox has not been gored yet? Where in the hell are the morals of this nation? They are not located in this present administration and those who support it.
