when it has been so disastrous for 5 years.
and it's an election year.
and you have illegal money in your pocket.
and he is breaking the law, and has said so, and has no plans to stop.
and has started an illegal war.
and is relieving the rich while screwing the poor.
and the middle class.
and you are leaking covert operatives names.
and your party lost a city
scandals
religious right priorities (terri) not that of the US, didn't pay off in the dividends you expected.
and there is a grieving mother, on your doorstep.
and you haven't caught Osama
and you are in-discriminently bombing dinner parties in countries you have no place in being at.
and 2500 kids will be dead in a month
and your platform is "stay the course"

Seeing the anger people feel once they find out ** betrayed them.
I drove 100 miles today and saw zero "W" stickers. Nada. Zilch. This is in Middle Tennessee, so the tide has definitely turned.

3. What they must turn away from is the Republican Party, at least |
|
until the neocons are rooted out. Bush isn't the only one, and he isn't the most dangerous person in the bunch who could have been installed as president.
If Republicans are turning away from Bush (and I agree with you that they are), what are they turning TO? Just another mouthpiece pushed forward to represent the neocons while they work diligently behind the scenes to destroy the country?

5. my boss is a republican |
|
In the true sense of the word; a business owner who want the government to be fiscally responsible, while he himself is personally charitable, etc. Although we disagree on a lot of policies, I can respect his views, especially since I found out how he feels about bush. He hates him. Thinks he's an idiot. He says he can't believe he voted for him. I've said for a long time, as a Democrat, I have no use for the idiot in the white house, but if I were a Republican, I would be bulls**t about this administration - they uphold NONE of the Republican principles. It's good to hear that there are still some intelligent people out there.

the fascists are still in control; our only hope is these republican assholes will not turn out to vote en masse this year....and by the way, I have no respect - ZERO respect - for ANYONE who voted for that piece of shit bush in 2004.

10. If alito gets in it might not matter much |
|
What he has done might get investigated but he can fight what secrets he can keep and his right to do things he has done will be fought to the Supreme Court. We know what way alito will vote (and roberts, thomas and scalia...) Don't know for sure about others. But I don't like the odds with alito there.
Any Senator of either party who is concerned about bush's illegal actions past, present, future shouldn't consider voting alito, should filibuster if needed to stop it. To oppose bush's actions and yet let alito in is..hypocritical and incongruous.
