When did the war in Iraq end?
I've heard it has been the worst in the last couple of weeks but can't find much news on television about it. Also, I've heard Afghanistan is in a world of sh&t. Any truth to that?

I hate it when the television media decides that they are going 24-7 on a story.

When the stuffed codpiece proclaimed "Mission Accomplished." Since then it should properly be referred to as "The Occupation"

2. The "war" actually ended
no more than a couple of days after it started. Yes - it's been an "occupation" since then.
Think it's called Operation Quite Disgusting

3. I'm so happy with TV in Europe
I get news on Iraq all the time. On Afghanistan...Africa and the AIDS crisis. Sudan, Darfur, Somalia...and the list goes on...

Israel/Lebanon is a big story...it's just not the only story. Here, anyway.

Yes, Afghanistan is looking bad..as usual. Lot of lies about how well it's going there too...Iraq is chaos...but then it's been chaos...if you look beyond all the lies.

Even comparing CNN home edition (America) with it's international station, CNNI, you see a big difference in news shown.

They might say they do stories that appeal to Europeans and tailor their international channel that way...but then you have to wonder why CNN wouldn't think Americans would want to know about other events in the world.

Course, concentrating people on one story and one story only keeps their attention away from other things.

4. Actually it never was a war, it was an illegal invasion
and it is now an illegal occupation.

5. true...very true
and we can't allow anyone to ever forget that it was illegal and remains illegal and even once it ends...no matter when it ends...it will stay an illegal act that government must be held accountable for
