16. It's cut and dried: BushCo and corrupt repulicon cronies
Edited on Mon Jul-24-06 09:19 AM by SpiralHawk
are trashing the U.S. Constitution to enhance their own fascist control-and-domination schemes to benefit the "elite", and to line the pockets of corrupt republicon cronies.

It could not be plainer. They hate America, Americans, and democracy.

Impeach Bush and the corrupt, Constiution-trashing republicon congress. Now.

the the President unilaterally interprets to state he(she) won't follow the law.

5. I know this is about the constitutional violations of the executive
but I hope this group slaps Congress to and tells them to step up and do their job in checking his power.

12. And he's a stupid one to boot.
If * were more competent and less a dullard, this nation would be in a hell of a lot worse shape than it is now.

13. Don't think it's a lawsuit...yet
It's their report on Presidential Signing Statements. Looks like no one else is carrying it. If anyone picks it up, the echo machine will be screaming for the heads of lawyers again.

10. This is great! Now what do we do about this?
BTW, I was happy to see Bruce Fein on that task force. Whatever I thought of him during the Clinton impeachment mess, that man is a true patriot.

19. A couple of things come to mind while listening to Sonnet's presentation:
*'s avoidance of the veto as a tool of governance has

1) been intentional to allow him to usurp power through the signing statements
2) to put Congress on record for passing laws laced with Rovian landmines to be triggered for political purposes later.

Edited on Mon Jul-24-06 09:27 AM by Skidmore
First person up wants egregious examples.

Sonnett cites detainee treatment act as first example.
