10. I mean people...everywhere. I don't value one life more than another.
I'm outraged by all the deaths.

8. Diplomatic Masturbation
We agree not to agree on anything of any substance cause it's not Condi's job to do anything more than play PR agent. She's there to create the charade that the U.S. is "getting involved" and that this "surprise" visit was another reaction to the polls and criticism this regime is sitting on its hands. Well, its still sitting on its hands, but at least Condi got to throw in a few more frequent flier miles, show off a new outfit and look pretty for the cameras.

Next she'll poke her way to a similar photo-op with Olmert with that same smug smile, then on to Cairo to do the same with Mubarak and then to Amman and a quick hop over to Saudi Arabia...all the while making little to no effort to bring this situation to any equitable conclusion, but at least to give the cable news channels something else to yak about. It's the Americanizing of the story...how our myopic corporate media will now be fixated on some "American" rememdy to the situation and Condi's cast as the "voice of reason".

Meanwhile Chenney's on the phone to the IDF getting the lastest missile estimates...

...and the beat goes on.

The media needs new meat to chew in this "crisis" and to justify the "wall-to-wall" coverage that this regime is glad to provide. It takes their bantering off of such things as Iraq and the growing scandals and poor economy.

12. Note this little tidbit....
"During a refueling stop in Shannon, Ireland, Ms. Rice’s aides ran into a tired and angry group of Americans who had been evacuated from Lebanon and were trying to get home, but their plane, which stopped in Shannon, had broken down.

Some of the Americans recognized Karen Hughes, the assistant secretary of state for public diplomacy. Within minutes she was surrounded by the group, who said they had been traveling for five days and had been at the airport for 24 hours.

“I am so sorry,” she said, sitting at a bar drinking wine."

This behaviour, imo, is the epitome of the whole bush cabal.

14. I don't really blame Rice for the fuckups out there anymore.
Bush and Cheney have completely neutered the Secretary of State office.

The Secretary of State used to be the adviser, the person that told the President "I'm going out there to see what is happening, I'll brief you when I get back, and give you a course of action to take."

Rice has been reduced to posing for photo-ops(when it's safe to go out there), and shopping for shoes.

Do you think Henry Kissinger would put up with this shit from these incompetent clowns?
