Why can't Democrats put a bill forward that says if Bush* wants |
|
to widen the ongoing hostilities in the mideast with US forces he must return to Congress for approval. Why would anyone in Congress oppose such a measure. Don't they value their own Power? I would think even (especially) neocons would want their power to remain intact. Congress should have all say as to the use of US forces. The Constitution (remember that "piece of paper") says that. Where is a reasonable Democratic voice?

2. Yes. The Constitution. |
|
The Constitution puts all kinds of restrictions on the executive branch and the president when it comes to the military and war. You'll like the article by Charley Reese that I've put on my web site: In a Perfect World by Charley Reese

... don't give a shit about that shit... As long as they have what they need to survive for the moment, and someone to lie to them about, "Everything is great!", they are happy as clams at high tide to keep their heads buried in the administration's ass...
When congress approved the "War Powers Act", and allowed the * administration to act in, "The country's best interests", they, (Congress), gave up their ability, and their right, without a fight at least, to question anything that *co does, in the name of war, or national security.

5. But what Congress does it can undo |
|
All it takes is a bill to be sponsored and passed and Congress can do almost anything..

8. But it would in all likelihood get some air play. |
|
The public would wonder why Congress doesn't have any say wouldn't they?

10. I think the most loyal are given the chairmanships to the committees |
|
That's what makes getting a bill heard in committee so difficult for us. And with the MSM complicit, the hurdle becomes even higher. Getting them out of power in one of the Houses is the key to everything.

9. I think that is a good idea. |

I wish they would put in forward and vote on it before the election, so we call all see who the DINOs are.
