Let's keep our memes, in this age of heat entropy, relatively simple.

but everywhere.

And while Clinton was too afraid of pissing off corporate cronies, at least he had a vice president who understood what the hell was going on...

I mean, I know there's a lot of scientific data proving it, but since you say one city was in the 60's last week, well, I guess there's nothing to it.

you must have noticed the horrible record breaking heat wave that's hit the northwest over the last four days.

Probably why you had to resort to "last week"

16. Not quite.....
It's actually Clinton's penis' fault, you see.

Joking aside, though, it's too simplistic to blame global warming on our current bunch of louts. It has been a long time coming. Refusal to acknowledge global warming is definitely a rebuplican trait, however.

26. The Clenis, you mean.
Joking aside, what you wrote is true and the reason for making the meme about Republicans is an attempt to shame the current bunch into recognizing that global warming is a fact, that human actions are to blame at least in part for the phenomenon is the majority opinion of the scientific community. They have been blaming everything on Clinton even after they've had years of control in Congress and the White House. Turnabout is fair play.

do something about it now.

Though, yes, we are all responsible for the unraveling of the biosphere -- left, right, "commie," capitalist -- all homo "sapiens" have done their share...

Some, however, have a far bigger share than others.

23. You're on to something here friend
THANK A REPUBLICAN TODAY for:

Policies that create hell on earth in more ways than one for everyone.

Taking away money from social programs so more bombs can be built (and eventually used). Yes. Thank you very much, Mr. Republican.

Taking away privacy rights of every type for the privilege of living in a "free" society. Yes, thank you very much, Mr. Republican.

Taking away moneys for public schools and the children who depend on them. Yes, thank you very much, Mr. Republican.

Taking away the opportunity for millions living under the bridge of poverty to rise up and cross by not voting for an increase in the minimum wage. Yes, thank you very much, Mr. Republican.

Taking away our children and sending them to places on the other side of the earth to die for no reason. Yes, thank you very much, Mr. Republican.

Taking away regulations and protections for people who depend on clean/cheap water to drink and air to breathe. Yes, thank you Mr. Republican.

Whew. I could go on, but I'm exhausted.

should be plastered anywhere and everywhere that they *legally* may be placed.

bumper stickers, placards, posters, messages at the laundry, on the wall at the gas station, everywhere.

People are ready for a message, and need only to know there are sufficient numbers of others thinking similar thoughts.

Go man/woman Go!

44. Trouble is that particular meme is false, and can be ripped to shreds
By anybody with a halfway decent grasp of history. Global warming has been coming down the road for a long time now, and we have had increasingly urgent warnings given to us. And this has occurred under both parties, D & R. It has been a bipartisan problem, and it is going to take a bipartisan solution. Otherwise we'll all die together.

Plus, I think Al Gore would've been on it, had the election not been stolen.

So in that sense, certainly post-2000: "Thank a Republican."
