When did the occupation of Iraq end?
This is odd, is it not? The cable channels have blood and guts wall to wall in Israel and Lebanon. I've seen video of 8 month old babies burned over their entire bodies by phosphorus. I've seen amputations. I've seen rows of dead bodies. I've waiting to see CNN strap a missle cam on a missle that is about to flatten a nieghborhood. But what happened in Iraq? Has it become too boring? I can understand, 60 people killed everyday does get monotonous after a while. I believe Ayatollah al-Sistani is close to pulling his support of the "government". But did I dream all this? There seems to be no news about it?

Things move so fast in this crazy world, I must have missed the end of our Great Iraq Adventure.

Must be my ADD. Forgot all about that. Have the Taliban reclaimed the country yet, or just most of the country?

4. My thread earlier, why I think
Good thing about evacuations from Lebanon vs Iraq occupation:publicity

People who were in Lebanon are getting out and talking about what they saw, their experiences. We do not have this going on with Iraq except for the few brave soldiers who are talking. Pictures and stories need to be seen and heard.

Combination of reasons, Israel/Lebanon upswinging war is new and sexy, Iraq is old news, and "normal people" like you and I are getting hurt and evacuating with stories and pictures. The personalizing of Iraq occupation has not happened for a lot of people.

6. The other aspect is that
pictures of death and destruction out of Iraq were never so readily presented for public consumption that we see from Lebanon. I hate these bastards so much.
