this economy is held together with chewing gum & duct tape. badmouth it, & it collapses, and the whole world plunges into a new dark age.
"to save the economy we must buy, buy anything" - Eisenhower. so shut up & buy something plastic from the Chinese.
half :sarcasm:, all bitter.

I mean, take a look at the stock market. There's really no reason it's held the value it has. So many indicators suck. Just because a big corp once in a while beats revenue expectations and the market shoots up. Oil will be the ultimate demise of the economy.

7. In my financial world we are beyond crisis time in all 3 areas. |

I went to the new Giant Eagle today and was shocked at the price of milk. They now stock quarts of milk. They were on sale today at $1.09 per quart. That would be $4.36 a gallon. Of course a gallon jug was a little cheaper at $3 something.
What are parents with children doing to give their kids milk to drink?
Don't get me started because I could go on and on.

8. As long as the rightwing can borrow at low interest, it will hold. |
|
This economy is propped up totally by debt. Now, interest rates are relatively low. As long as that continues, the supposed strong economy will continue. The economy is not good by any real measure, but it's not in a crisis either at this point. Watch interest rates.
