Just saw a tv ad boosting investment in Iraqikurdistan. All the good things appear to be happening in the places we aren't helping judging by this commercial.

2. Saw it, but wasn't paying full attention

I am glad you posted this. I was doing something but was listening, heard about all the good things going on in the area. The commercial ending by the announcer saying something about looking into Kurdistan, while the graphic says, "The other Iraq". I said to myself, WTF, was that all about, and I tried to get the website. Did you happen to catch the website they had as the sponser?

3. Iraqi Kurdistan

The northern part of Iraq that the Kurds control - and the only part that nominally has its sh*t together. The Kurds want to break off and form their own country, but that ain't gonna happen. The Kurds in Turkey and Iran will want to break off and join them, too. Which means that the Iranians, Turks and Iraqis will go back to what they do best - beating up on the Kurds. Hey, everybody's gotta have SOMEBODY to beat up on in that part of the world!
