Palestinians: 'Day of rage' against Rice visit

Palestinians are calling for a general strike in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to protest US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit to the region scheduled for later this week, accusing Washington of backing Israel's military campaigns against Hamas and Hizbullah.

Leaflets distributed in the West Bank and Gaza by representatives of several Palestinian factions called for a "day of rage" against Rice's visit. The groups also called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to refrain from meeting with Rice.

"We reject Rice's visit to the Middle East and we will expose its real goals," read the leaflets, signed by the National and Islamic Forces in Palestine. "This visit comes in the wake of Israel's US-backed comprehensive aggression against the Palestinians and Lebanese."

The factions accused Israel of waging a war of "genocide" against the Palestinians and Lebanese after receiving a green light from the US administration. They also strongly condemned the US for vetoing a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have condemned Israel for its offensive operations in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories.

Unfortunately, I do't think this admin HAS any real diplomats! It's very sad, and this is a time when the US desperately needs some very good diplomacy!

all the people in their administration that has any diplomacy. It is now the BIG BULLY tactics..I am afraid the dems with no backbone (or maybe repugs in dems clothing)have oked all their nominations and let this happen..

5. What's REALLY scary...

Have you noticed, that when one of "our guys" fucks up again the reaction is not hostile or defensive to the "other guy"...it's more of a "So new?" or "Yeah, we know, and we're sorry, but we're stuck with him/her and what are ya gonna do?"

I'm seeing this here... Condi The Diplomat :eyes: goes to sort things out and makes a hash of it.
Back home, we are about to have a heart attack and die from not-surprise.

9. Everyone knows the "real goals" are for Condi's visit.

She's got to get the Isareli weapons order straight - including some "new and improved" bombs, certain to get us all at least 5,000 dead bodies closer to peace.
