Why are we wasting our time discussing middle east policy |
|
Everything that is happening today has been planned and executed by the PNAC. If you listened to Randi Rhodes today she summarized things quite nicely. This has nothing to do with kidnapped soldiers or hezbollah or Hamas. This is about lighting the powder keg of the middle east. This is Cheney, Netanyahu and the cabal that has hijacked the US government.
As we make enemies of each other and debate who did what, the PNACers are laughing because their plan is near the end stage. A conflagration in the middle east, stealing the natural resources and driving the Palestinians across the Jordan river are the objectives. Do not be fooled.

8. Excuse me? How much of a say did we have when bush started the war |
|
in Iraq? Millions of protestors, and to him they were only "focus groups."
I'd call that NOT having a say. Why should it be any different now?

16. Personally, I think the Iraq war will eventually end.....but |
|
what worries me most is sending money and arms to pariah state in the Middle East who has numerous UN resolutions against it and continues to violate human rights in Palestine, and in this instance in Lebanon.

17. That's where we'll have to part ways in this discussion, though I hope |

we'll find common ground on other subjects.
That's all I'm going to say, in the interest of remaining friendly with other DUers. Friendship is more important to me than politics or expressing my opinion.

remember, along with letters, etc. It didn't matter. I still call my rep. and senators but (in my case anyway) I don't think it matters very much. I have noticed that when I call the offices of other reps. and sens. they are understanding considering who my supposed "representation" is.

I'm glad you posted this because it is textbook divide and conquer tactics. All the while Iraq is sinking into civil war and there is hardly a word mentioned on the "news" at all. The Isreali strike against Lebanese Hezbollah is real news and with definite ramifications, but it's only one facet of a multifaceted worldwide chain of events.

about that. Was Israel enacting PNAC policy the last times they invaded Lebanon in 1982, & 1978? This seems like an age-old fight in that region.

22. When people put things in writing and deliver it to a sitting president, |
|
Clinton at the time, who refused to enact the plan is it just to be ignored and dismissed? Despite skeptism, I tend to go by what people actually put into policy statements that then are signed, along with a letter to a sitting president.

OK, skimmed, at least. I know what the plan is, I'm just not sure that this is a part of it. PNAC isn't God, they don't control everything that happens in the world - though I'm sure they'll try to exploit it.

Just pick up the in the morning and tell the Demo Reps that the only Reps you will support will be anti war, tie up the phones, jam the lines, phone the President over and over, pass this on, these are old tactics that still work when you tell everyone you know to do this. It ties up the office staff and the Reps hear about it.

35. Before the CIA buried its more subtle mission statement pages |
|
There was an admission that one of the goals they had was to find a way to get the National Guard to turn on the citizenry.
I think Israel is expressing the logic that will be used here very soon. Know some people that wear tie-dyed tee shirts and go to Farmer's Markets? They are linked with the Blobbity Blob organization, whose more serious members were just discovered to have a conspiracy plot to take out the top portion of this duly elected Government, including our Beloved President, Mr. Bush. And if the Blobbity Blobs can't be found, why there's no real reason not to take out the whole neighborhood.
And remember there have been times when Bush has stated that it might be enough to go after someone if there is a possibility that they are *thinking* about doing something (Used quite frequently in connection with "Such and such a country is "thinking" about having a nuclear program.)
