Even have held some on my own and raised money for GLBT organizations in their name. And each time there are protesters holding up signs with Fred Sr.'s case number for his arrest in a sting operation that rounded up men soliciting men at a bathroom stop. I'm trying to find the specifics, but I see it every time he's around. I'll get back to you in the morning.

America is doing good things for homosexuals, so therefore everything America supports is evil in the eyes of God. Phelps's crew has said that soldiers who died in Iraq, even those who had nothing to do with homosexuality, are in Hell because of this reason. And they have protested at soldiers' funerals saying exactly that.

I'm intrigued that someone has found a case where Phelps was caught soliciting male "companionship" at a rest stop, as mentioned above. Isn't there someone with legal smarts who can pin this down and get the goods on him? How about a squad of people following the little Fascist around with video cameras to catch him with (literally) his pants down?

It's always the craziest people, the ones out of the mainstream, that get the gelt. The difference between Phelps and the guy yelling on the streetcorner is that, beneath all that surface stuff. Phelps KNOWS he's crazy, and always remembers to make his stuff mercantile.

He's got the tradition of evangelists, finding a flock and feeding their emotional needs - or exploiting their insecurities into emotional needs he can satisfy.
