wasn't joe lieberman the first one to place his two feet on the senate
floor and stand up there to despicably berate Bill Clinton for nothing that was Joe Lieberman's business, i.e. Monica Lewinsky?

And, didn't Joe Lieberman, (together with Al Gore), run away from Bill Clinton during their run up to election 2000 from hell?

Why, on this earth is Bill Clinton standing next to Joe Lieberman, endorsing him and promoting him?

Clinton must be, a) a guy who holds no grudges.
b) a guy who is so sure of himself that nothing anyone else says about him detracts
from his own concept of self.
c)or, simply ????

6. which would mean c) a pathetic whore
I can't believe Clinton is doing this. I can't imagine the incredible satisfaction he missed out on by not telling the Lieberman people that he wanted Joe to PERSONALLY ask him...then when Joe called, tell him to go fuck himself.

7. Hate to state it like this, but it's partly about compensation to Hillary

for Monica. All the humiliation, all the trouble, all the strife. This is personal payback, plain and simple. He owes her (in their mutual estimation, not mine). And as previously stated, the money's not bad. And if Lamont wins, more money.

3. It is all about Hillary and if Joe goes down
Hillary plans for the WH go too...

Also you forgot 40,000 Muslims in Florida voted for Bush in 2000 and one reason for that was Joe's religion. IMHO the then Senator Bob Graham would have put Florida in the Gore column with IMHO 60,000-100,000 votes.

4. On the news last night it was said that
Clinton's support came with one big condition: that if Lieberman loses, Clinton will withdraw his support and back Lamont. And also that he expects him not to run as an independent. Doesn't seem like a lot of support, imo. This is for Hillary. Lieberman is too dumb to know that.

No way Joe for Conn won't happen, any promises to the contrary are entirely worthless.

5. I read here last night
that Clinton said he'd help Joe but only if Joe promised not to run as an independent if he lost the primary.

Liberties; F.O.B.'s: Femmes of Bill
By MAUREEN DOWD
Maureen Dowd recalls how Pres Clinton's Presidency crystalize in Georgetown drawing room of Pamela Harriman, a world-class femme fatale, and how his plans for a great legacy fell apart in clutching hands of Monica Lewinsky, 'a junior fatal femme'; holds it is safe to say that 'Pamela would have been appalled by Monica'

THE TRANSITION: Reporter's Notebook; Ahhh! The Old Democrats Feel Young Again
By R. W. APPLE JR.,
As giddy as debutantes, the princes and the satraps of the Democratic Party gathered Thursday night at Pamela Harriman's house to tell Bill Clinton and each other how happy, how overjoyed, how positively transported they were to see power on the horizon at last. Robert S. Strauss, late of Moscow, and Katharine Graham, ever of The Washington Post, were there, and of course Warren M. Christopher and Vernon E. Jordan, the panjandrums of the transition. Representatives were there, and senators enough to stock a ball club, pinch-hitters and relief pitchers included -- Sasser and Bentsen and Lieberman and Mikulski and Harkin and Graham and Biden and Kerrey and Bumpers and Ford and Byrd and Mitchell and more.

10. Joe weedled Hillary in the Senate to get Bill to help...From what
I saw of the stump appearance, Bill wasn't overly exuberant about his endorsement.
