2. NY times doesn't count
it's only one of the best papers in the country. all i've seen front page above the fold are pics of lebanon. do you want it from billboards as well?

11. it was badly phrased
the NY times has carried the carnage in lebabon and pics above the fold on p. 1.

i was bein facetious when i mentioned billboards.

6. and a few weeks ago, his family was probably
sitting around, snacking and laughing and watching World Cup. They probably pestered Mom to go to the supermarket for more Doritos & Cokes.. They probably played with their video games later and checked their emails..

7. Actually,
that picture and others similar, have been widely published in the mainstream press. The NYT has published dozens of devastating pictures, but by all means, continue the myth that the MSM doesn't publish picture like that.

8. I'm tired of the sweeping "U.S. press" accusations.
It's disingenuous to say "rarely! if ever!" about anything that appears in any newspaper. International wires make it possible for smaller towns to run pictures like this, which is what my paper, circ. 40,000 in a town people can't find on a map, did today.

There are a lot of newspapers in the U.S. Do you really -- I mean REALLY -- know what each one is running?

I'd like to see those images on the nightly news...maybe that would change some hearts and minds. :cry:
