Read this description, tell me who it is describing:
"...beneath his facade of strength and power is a weak-willed and not particularly intelligent man who, while well-meaning, is highly dependent upon the advice on others to make decisions."

Who does this describe?

3. Who described the blithering idiot that way? And I must
protect the 'while well-meaning' part.

4. My guess
is Chuck Schumer.

It fits more our side than theirs. The key is the phrase "while well-meaning," which means it can't apply to Smirky-- he's still the juvenile delinquent blowing up frogs with firecrackers-- or, really, to any of the current Republican leadership. We have more than our share of weak-willed pols in our camp too, but in my view most of them really do mean well, they're just feckless.

5. Paul Ludwig Hans Anton von Beneckendorff und von Hindenburg?
Edited on Tue Jul-25-06 07:59 AM by IDemo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_von_Hindenburg

"Although he was widely esteemed in his time, his biographers John Wheeler-Bennett and Andreas Dorpalen have argued that beneath Hindenburg's façade of strength and power was a weak-willed and not particularly intelligent man who, while well-meaning, was highly dependent upon the advice on others to make decisions.

In Wheeler-Bennett's phrase, Hindenburg was the "Wooden Titan"; a man who looked impressive on the outside but who was hollow and empty on the inside."

Hmmm, now who would that remind me of?? (except for the widely esteemed/well-meaning/looking impressive parts!)

6. I would say Bush but
The "well-meaning" part doesn't fit.

8. George Washington?
Seems like I read a similar, if not that one, description of him.

11. It's not Bush, he's not well meaning, and he's anything but weak willed,
he seems stubbornly convinced of his infallibility at every turn. That's not "weak willed" in my book.

13. I think it is a perfect description of Bush, but it really was Hindenburg.
Edited on Tue Jul-25-06 09:38 AM by originalpckelly
With only a few words changed. Cheney is evil. Rove is evil. But I think Bush is well meaning. I don't think Bush has really any political leanings, it is simply a facade. They put this nice idiot out there, and normal people identify with him. Unfortunately, behind the scenes the two evils are doing their work.

You simply have to ask yourself if this man who barely commands English can secretly command a plot to overthrow the government? He is bad, because he must know all of this power isn't right, but he isn't the originator of these wacky ideas.
