Democrats in both chambers are also seeking to draw attention to what they view as Maliki's anti-Israel stance on the Middle East conflict in an attempt to put Bush and Republicans in the hot seat for supporting both Israel and the Prime Minister. A letter from several Senate Democrats to Maliki says it is "imperative that the U.S. Congress and the world know immediately whether you support or condemn Hezbollah's acts of terrorism."
