Fox News calls Olbermann 'over the line'
Fox News calls Olbermann 'over the line'
By BETH HARRIS, Associated Press Writer
Tue Jul 25, 12:50 AM ET

PASADENA, Calif. - Fox News Channel chairman and CEO Roger Ailes responded to Keith Olbermann's latest critical volley against Bill O'Reilly on Monday, saying the MSNBC host's behavior "is over the line."

Ailes, appearing Monday at the summer meeting of the Television Critics Association, was referring to a weekend incident at the gathering in which Olbermann whipped out a mask of O'Reilly and gave a Nazi salute.

Ailes said Olbermann picks on Fox's O'Reilly to boost his ratings.

"Clearly he has no viewers except those he gets when he attacks Fox News," Ailes said.

1. If they're so big and above this, why do they even mention it?

3. Every time I hear about something KO has done
I just want to watch his show that much more!!

Faux News can't stand the truth... and probably wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the ass.

4. tell tale signs
The tell tale sign of a bully is how they whine when they can't take the very same stuff they routinely dish out.

Keep it up, Keith. Your satirical truth will overcome their vile lies EVERY TIME! Don't EVER BACK DOWN if the truth is on your side!

7. What line?

One of the ones under O'Reilly's jawbone, or the one on Hannity's underwear?

8. Fox has been over the line since its founding
It's the Joe McCarthy network, and anything Olbermann says about those nazis is only a fraction of what they deserve. Go fuck yourself, Roger.

10. Maybe Ailes could explain why O'Reilly
not once, but twice, referred to the war crimes committed in Malmady, Belgium as perpetrated by U.S. troops, when, in fact, it was the Nazis who defied the Geneva convention and executed over 100 soldiers in a field.
And when confronted with his lies, O'Reilly tried to deflect with, "allied troops committed war crimes in Belgium".
And Olberman was over the line?
O'Reilly also issued a fatwa on a publisher who displeased him -- not letting the fact that the man is deceased stop him. O'Reilly still showed the man's phone number and photo on his TV show -- calling for his viewers to deluge the man with angry email on his behalf. (the publisher's newspaper had referred to O'Reilly's "falafel moment".)
And Olberman is over the line?
