Mindless fun with Malkin
A random find from an essay at Hinduwebsite.com, exploring the Sanskrit language and its possible relationship to the foundation of English:

Cf. MALKIN, "untidy female, slut, lewd woman (1500), woman of lower classes, name of a female demon" (1200). MALKIN TRASH (1698), "one in a rueful dress".

I'm doing a piece on sociolinguistics, and I was trying to find out exactly how many words there are in the English language for a promiscuous woman. I plugged "etymology English words for slut" into a search engine, and this was one of my results. It's a really cool site for way more reasons than my original one!
