Has anyone on here watched Greenglass's "Bloody Sunday?

About the attack by the British soldiers on the peace parade? When totally innocent marchers and bystanders were slaughtered by the British military because they "may" have been IRA?

The last scene in that movie is one I keep thinking about the last few days: outside a tenement door is a long line of young men, some characters we know who are apolitical... as each young man reaches the door, they are handed a gun. They are now IRA. The tragic and horrific events of the day have made them step over a line and into a world they never wanted to enter.

What have the last few days cost the world? How many young men have now stepped over into that world?

Not all terrorists are sociopaths. Some are created. Some are formed.

And no, I am not advocating terrorism against anyone... be it be a sovereign nation or a group.

2. I loved that movie

one of the best docudramas I've ever seen. And you are spot on regarding the last scene...the Protestant MP's final words are telling indeed:

"I just want to say this to the British Government... You know what you've just done, don't you? You've destroyed the civil rights movement, and you've given the IRA the biggest victory it will ever have. All over this city tonight, young men... boys will be joining the IRA, and you will reap a whirlwind."
