stupid house/senate Democrats
Edited on Tue Jul-25-06 12:55 PM by no_to_war_economy
A group of House of Representatives Democrats was circulating a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert urging the Illinois Republican to secure an apology from Maliki or cancel the address on Wednesday to a joint meeting of Congress.

Senate Democrats in a letter to Maliki said his failure to condemn Hizbollah's "aggression and recognize Israel's right to defend itself raise serious questions about whether Iraq under your leadership can play a constructive role in resolving the current crisis and bringing stability to the Middle East."

, the Senate Democrats said, "Americans deserve to know whether Iraq in an ally in these fights."

you fucking idiots, nobody is with Israel and USA on this slaughter

1. Why is it that democracies like the US and Israel
Get all pissed off when other SOVEREIGN nations democraticly elect people to power they don't like? It just boggles the mind, and the irony meter.

6. Puppets only - please!
If any independent minded leader surfaces anywhere in non-western world, that person is disparaged and condemned for not dancing to the tune of the west especially the US.

10. Because those governments are...
... not in anyone's (U.S. or Israel) pocket.

The U.S. is all for democracy around the globe, but in free elections, as amplified by the elections by the Palestinians, a group like Hamas is More appealing to them than a corrupt bunch of bureaucrats.

2. not so stupid
Maliki is our creature, but he is trying to hold together a government that has no constituency EXCEPT B*shco. If Repubs get him to be publicly supportive of the US in this he can't go home. The whole "Iraq is not at civil war" crap is exposed as the lie that it is..

(for a change WE do the rope-a-dope)

3. actually, most of the world is with Israel and the US on recognizing that
The UN Secretary General and numerous world leaders have condemned Hezbollah's agression and recognized Israel's right to defend itself.

That is all the group of Democrats are asking for.

4. About 300 people of ME descent joined us at our weekly War protest
last Sunday. They were carrying Lebanese and Palestinian flags and included everything from toddlers, through young men, to old women. All of us mixed freely; most of them were bi-lingual. Several wanted to talk to me about my sign, "Jesus is still here and WE are still killing him."

Traffic honked and people waved at us.

The reality of things is here, at the grassroots. Washington IS la-la-land.

7. Wow, I didn't know that by invading and occupying Iraq the entire
cultural and history of the country could be changed! Now, we're demanding that an Islamic country join us as an 'ally' of Israel! What every happened to 'Iraq is now a sovereign nation' (June 29, 2004)?

9. Wrong. Most of the world is supporting the right of Israel to defend
itself. The issue is how they do it.

11. I really wish
the whole "stupid Dems" crowd would go find a different punch bowl to drop their turds in.

DEMOCRATS fought for a resolution to support Israel while Republicans bickered over gay marriage and flag burning. DEMOCRATS have made public statements day after day supporting Israel.
