Let's analyze the MSNBC trend.
I was really caught off guard to see Monica Crowley as a "news"? anchor, I guess you would call it. I had not been watching anything but Countdown for ages, so I was not paying attention.

On our side pretty consistently is Keith Olbermann of Countdown, or should say the side of being honest.

Ok, help me here, I am having trouble thinking of others we can count on to be honest about things.

I know that Dan Abrams is in charge now, and wondered which way they would go.

Is there something I am missing. Is Olbermann it?

1. Keith is all we have, and the powers-that-be insist
Edited on Tue Jul-25-06 01:19 PM by SoCalDem
that his show is 75% fluff and nonsense..

We should have Keith (if he even wanted to) in a 3 hour format like we are subjected to on CNN with Blitzkreig

9. Perhaps she's Rita Cosby without the Wheezy Rasp
And I really hate the way Monica gets all squirmy trying to be
cute while she sputters out one Reichwing lie anfter another.

She's really .... plastic

10. Must have been her sorry ass on Imus this morning.
I knew I had seen this bitch before. Spouting vile bullshit so early in the morning should be illegal.

3. Monica Crowley gets another chance eh?
Her MSNBC show with Ronald Reagan Jr. got cancelled months ago. Crowley is NOT a journalist; she's a former Nixon aide with an agenda - that agenda being the same as Cheney's - revenge for what happened to her boss and trying to get it right this time. She tears down Democrats and liberals any chance she gets. Don't ever expect her to be objective or honest.

Don't think it has anything to do with MSNBC changing directions; Crowley's been hanging around there for years.

11. Aw man...
...if there's one thing I liked about Rita, she was as close to being a normal woman as you can get on TV. Everywhere else all I see is a bunch of Playboy bunny looking types just there to boost the ratings. I know I'm nuts but it was a nice change to see someone not so perfect. Bad voice and a little overweight but I say good for her for making it in the business despite being the opposite of the ratings gimmick scheme. I heard some anchorwomen have been fired over the years for gaining weight and for having the audacity to age without cosmetic surgery.

13. I agree.. partly
there was something encouraging about someone
not all "perfect" making it in the bigtime.. BUT having
seen Rita's act on Faux.. she really was milking the
Reichwing Hausfrau to a disgusting degree.
I have no patience for BushBots (bimbo or no)

15. I don't watch either network regularly but I thought she was pretty
My high school I'm proud to say gave every girl that wanted to be a cheerleader a chance and was welcomed into the squad. We weren't known for having all buffy type cheerleaders, some were a little heavy or not so pretty by some people's standards. Other schools in town used to joke about it but I was proud of the fact. So were the cheerleaders who might not have got the opportunity at a different school.
