Bush met with, and praised, corrupt lobbyist
Bush met with, and praised, corrupt lobbyist -- Although White House spokesliar Scott McClellan claims lobbyist/crook du jour Jack Abramoff only met with administration staff two or three times, the scandal ridden buyer of influence enjoyed frequent private meetings with President George W. Bush, who referred to Abramoff as 'one of this administration's greatest friends.'

15. Who's the named source?...
We've got "A former DeLay staffer who is cooperating with the investigation into both Abramoff and the disgraced GOP leader’s activities, has told investigators that Abramoff and DeLay visited Bush at his ranch on at least four occasions in 2003 and 2004."

The only name in the piece is Dale Knally, who saw Bush and Abramoff during a campaign stop in Florida. He's not the former Delay staffer who told of the Crawford meetings.

Sid

18. Uh, no I didn't...
The "source" for the meetings in Crawford, with Delay, is an "former Delay staffer".

Sounds kind of unnamed to me. Like most of Thompson's stuff.

13. IRONY
So much is written on DU about how the MSM is wrong not to do stories that CHB does on a relatively daily basis. And then when CHB offers what we want, their credibility is called into question. I've checked them out on a few occasions, particularly about bush berating junior staffers; a story which eventually made the MSM. And who amongst us would doubt that bush would consider the constitution a goddamned piece of paper or that he would cavort with the likes of abramoff?

It was, after all, the National Enquirer that brought us the "truth" about the pigboy and his drug issues.

He's a 'heckuva' president, ain't he.
