Of note: Rich Reynolds is my cousin, but that doesn't mean I will defend him or his information.

1. I Wouldn't Doubt That Hezbollah Has Arms from Iran
I don't believe those rockets are homemade, and Iran has been their biggest sponsor.

I did think, however, that the Israeli ship was hit by an improvised drone rather than a regular land-to-sea missile:

"Not that the Israelis have been shy about publicly fingering Iran, which it blames for supplying the missile that struck an Israeli ship off Lebanon."

2. I thought the same thing about the ship.
I am getting to the point of not believing anything "reported" anymore.

I don't know this paticular cousin very well as he has spent the last 30 years living and working in the Middle East. I did correspond with him a little while he was in Iraq right after the fall of Baghdad in 2003. In fact, I would have thought that his involvement then had more to do with setting up payment for Iraqi police, physicians, teachers and military...working under L. Paul Bremer.

Thanks for the reply.

3. I Don't Mind Reading Different Interpretations of Facts
I'm even used to reading different selections of facts. What bothers me is reading factual statements in a reputable source that are either misleading or flat-out wrong. One of the two accounts of the missile strike is flat-out wrong.

We all try to create a model of the world from the available facts, and if those building blocks are wrong, you have to rethink everything. I remember being really pissed off at the reporting of the Shroud of Turin by some major news outlets (even NPR), because I came to the wrong conclusion and was telling others certain supposed facts that turned out to be complete BS.
