One Of My Fears Re: U.S.\M.E. Warmongering Mess !!!

A while back, on one of AAR's programs, a reporter being interviewed from the Middle East, said that for many years the Arab "Street" would lay blame at the feet of the American Government, not the American people. He said, ominously, that that is beginning to change. I wish I had the citation, and I believe the reporter implied that it was felt in the ME that the American people weren't doing enough to reign in their own government.

And as I watch this Israel\Lebanon debacle, I wonder if the same thing is happening to the people of Israel right now. Israelis individually have been at threat from extremists for years now, as have American citizens. But this is starting to feel different. I'm mad as hell at the Israeli government right now, as I am at Hezbollah, and I fear for the lives of the innocents on both sides.

And... I truly hope that the peace activists on all sides (us included) can quickly throw off their warrior governments and work for a true and lasting peace before it's too fucking late.
