More Tull He Wounded
Crosshairs Cheyney
(To the tune of Crosseyed Mary - Jethro Tull)

Who would be abhored more that Robin Hood inversed
No one, and it’s this man we observe
For he would fill the pockets, that already overflow
Than spend a cent to help his fellow man

Crosshairs Cheyney goes hunting once again
For no-bid contracts, he’s a one man gravy train
From undisclosed locations, and shadowlands he rules
While his half-wit front man, plays us all for fools

Lurking in the background, he commands his butcher boys
Who gather dirty secrets on his prey
And dare they draw attention to the wrongs that he has dome
The swiftboats launch before the end of day

Crosshairs Cheyney, taking pride in being wrong
If it won’t enrich him, then it simply don’t belong
He is death’s cheerleader, bring the body bags along
Though Dr. Five Deferments, will not send his kids along.... No.

3. Nope. At least I don't think so.

It was, for my part at least, an extension of nickname puns used as subterfuge and pure being a goof as best I could on the DALnet.

What is this BOC, he asked just for future reference.... :hi:

They have a live album entitled "Some Enchanted Evening" and a song entitled "Mistress of the Salmon Salt (Quicklime Girl)"

Weird:)

9. Thanks:)
I've been a BOC fan since the mid-70s... Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser is still on my top five favorite guitarists list... despite the fact that I am among a handful of people who are personally responsible (if you were to ask Don's wife) for shutting down his message board due to objections to an ongoing political thread that Don started.

I think I just one an award for the longest run-on sentence:)

10. This is great!
Now I envision one day in the not-too-distant future, when you can write a song about all these people out of power! It will have to be a song I know, though ;) How about "walking on sunshine?"

12. Jethro Tull fan here... that's one of my favorite songs
Have you ever heard Iron Maiden's cover of Cross-Eyed Mary? The two lead guitars playing the flute part are great! :headbang:

13. Nope, but I'm gonna look for it!
Big Tull fan too, and an Iron Maiden fan as well. I wonder if the local watering hole has it on Tune Central file.

It'll be fun to see the reaction from the regulars if I do find it

Thankee Your Swampness :pals:
