After watching Al Gore on C-Span Monday, all I could say was "I want that guy" for President!

2. My favorite was Marissa Tomei talking about hunting
You were gonna shoot a deer?? A poor, defenseless, doe-eyed little deer?? Imagine you're a deer. You go down to the brook, put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water... and BAM! a fuckin' bullet hits you right in the head, your brains are splattered all over the ground. Now I ask ya... would you give a fuck what kind of pants the sonofabitch who shot ya was wearin'?

3. Get your movie quotes right - it wasn't a deer
It was a "dee-ah". God, I fell in love with her in that movie.

5. So how do we convince the entire grit eating
Red State universe that we've all been victims of a huge miscarriage of justice -- in other words screwed by the current administration?

6. Sell 'em Magic grits?
Vinny: How could it take you five minutes to cook your grits when it takes the entire grit-eating world 20 minutes?

Mr. Tipton: Um... I'm a fast cook, I guess.

Vinny: What? I'm sorry I was over there. Did you just say you were a fast cook? Are we to believe that boiling water soaks into a grit faster in your kitchen than any place on the face of the earth?

Mr. Tipton: I don't know.

Vinny: Perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist on your stove. Were these magic grits? Did you buy them from the same guy who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?

11. The best thing about this movie is...
I grew up with Vinnie and Miss Vito. Figuratively, of course, but that was my neighborhood growing up. My relatives were those folks - so were my friends. Why bother to look for your kid, for example, when you could just scream real loud for him/her out the front door?

We won't even begin to get into Italian family get togethers at my Aunt Mary's house by the airport.

Or, <sigh>, Italian girls that developed early and could out curse a sailor....
