Does Israel want a weak Lebanon?
So does anyone think that Israel's excessive bombing of Lebanon is the real reason, the ulterior motive (the destruction of the Lebanese infrastructure and thus their economy and young democracy?)

Why?

7. They may get what they want
What they want is for Lebanon to say that they would get rid of Hezbullah from the south of their country if they only had help.

Then a force will be moved in with enough force to remove them.

Plenty of things could go wrong starting with no one wants to be part of that force, but I think that's what Israel is going for and it may work.

5. Then why are they destroying...
...The Lebanese infrastructure?

Much like the juxtopasition of the Bush Administration sending weapons to Isreal and giving humanitarian Aid to the Lebanese that the Isrealies are bombing at the same time.

I need a better answer. Don't you think a stronger Lebanon Democratic Government would be a STRONG one?

6. There can be no strong Lebanese government
as long as Hezbollah is in control of Southern Lebanon.

Israel is destroying infrastructure that Hezbollah can use, which not all of the infrastructure.
