Dem Councilwoman Finds Horse Head in Her Pool
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. -- A councilwoman found a severed horse's head in her swimming pool Tuesday, state police said.

"We're looking at a threat as a possible angle," Lt. Pierce Gallagher said. "Certainly, we can't rule that out."

There have been some prior instances of harassment directed toward Wawayanda Councilwoman Gail Soro, Gallagher said.

Being curious about party and "prior instances", I searched the name. I don't want to make any accusations but here's the last entry at "Gails Gotta Go"-

8. I can think of a few other possibilities.
Say, this horse decided to take up parachuting, and on his first jump, the chute got sucked into the propellers... If another story tomorrow reads "Horse's ass found in White House," then we'll have evidence to support that theory.

6. That blog reads more like the work of a stalker than political commentary.
Perhaps the authorities should be made aware of it.

7. Yes, the cops REALLY need to check that blogger out.
I hope they're smart enough to do so.

Where the hell to you get even one horse's head, much less several? I'm curious.

12. I sent this to the Dem org address-
Being a news junkie, I read an Associated Press report this evening about the crime against the councilwoman. I was curious about party affiliation, so I googled her name and found a site about her that seems to me to be threatening in nature. Many of the posts there end with "keep watching". Perhaps you could make her aware of this so that she could alert the authorities if she feels it is appropriate. Here is the site address:

Thank you,

9. It is stalkerish, but the second post there is political too
There are only a handful of hits on her name. Maybe I'll e-mail it to that local dem group. -They could alert the authorities, but I bet they've seen it.

14. What a lame blog - totally incomprehensible
Seems like her biggest problem is a seemingly contadictory vote on something.

The rest is gibberish, unless it's loaded with inside jokes or something.

Horse headharassment
Councilwoman target of sick prank
By Oliver Mackson
Times Herald-Record
omackson@th-record.com
Slate Hill - The bent windshield wipers annoyed her. The sex toy glued to her windshield back in June made her furious. But finding a horse's head in her swimming pool yesterday hit Wawayanda Councilwoman Gail Soro right where she lives.

It left her angry and frightened last night, as state police scoured the Orange County town for suspects. They were treating it as a case of harassment and trespassing, at the very least.

Soro and her husband, Ed, were in the pool until about 8:30 p.m. Monday night. Yesterday morning, they noticed the water looked a bit dark. They thought that an animal might have died in the pool.

Ed Soro grabbed the skimmer, raised a dark object from a corner of the pool and called out to his wife as he dragged it to the surface: "That's a horse's head."

Gail Soro sent her own message last night: She won't be chased out of office. She's up for re-election next year, and she's running. Soro's been right in the middle of tussles over growth and planning that are the hot-button issues in the town.

She's the only dem on the council. There's a quote from one repub-

Republican Councilman Dave Cole acknowledged that he's knocked heads with Soro, but he flatly condemned what was done to her yesterday.

"This isn't politics. This is beyond politics," Cole said. "This is beyond the pale."
