Is the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon a useful gift of distraction from |
|
Israel to the bush regime?
Election year, repukes in danger of losing power, regime in danger of forced accountability, news is bad - but wait, overreaction leads to WW3!!!!!!!! - saddam who? Iraq what?
Israel is at war!
Once you realize a big lie, how do you know how big the "big picture" is? How do you know how big the lie is?
Would they just kill people for political gain? Would we?
Just wondering out loud...

1. When the news first broke about Israel, |
|
I remember thinking that the timing certainly was convenient for Bushco. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so, but, God, I hope I'm wrong!

2. The US didn't make Hezbollah capture two IDF soldiers. |
|
So I disagree that somehow the bombing was timed for any other reason than the timing of the capture.

4. But it didn't stop Israel from its rampage in Gaza and the West Bank |
|
which lead to the Hezbollah incursion.
I think it knew it would happen eventually.

6. That may indeed be so. But I don't think it's about elections. |
|
It's about strategically taking Hezbollah down as an impediment to dealing with Syria and Iran, ultimately. It's just not working out so well.

3. Why do you think Bush doesn't stop them? |
|
He likes all this. Think how much it takes off of Iraq. US troops could be massacring an entire city and we wouldn't be hearing a pipe from the media. Already Al Maliki's statements on the war have been virtually ignored or just condemned. The Good Iraqis should just sit back and take orders.
