I just saw a blatant commercial on the local nightly news...
Local 10pm news, a segment on "home security". They interviewed a salesmen for the company, spun it as a human interest story. The thing is, I used to sell this company's products, and they SUCK. Bottom of the line, high return rate, Crap.

And here they are, on local news, selling their "system" to the Sheeple.

God bless America
:sarcasm:

1. Ugh. There's a name for that, and it's a big controversy.
But I'm much too tired to remember it, let alone look up stories on it. Sorry. I hate those freaking things. Corpmedia, indeed.

6. I no longer work in that business
and because I did once purchase one of their products before I knew better, it's my consumer :patriot: duty to warn my fellow citizens...

Never get X-10 'security' gizmos. Spend twice as much, and get something several grades higher.

just Google X-cam

5. Isn't the station who does the 10 O'clock news owned by fox?
If it is that would explain why they are selling fear. Was the company in question owned by pukes?

10. When I was studying to be a MCSE, I worked for a Security ....
...installation outfit.
They bought the cheapest junk that was available and would mark-up the price 1000 percent
plus charge 75 dollars an hour for installing the crap. (I was making 8.50 an hour)

What a sleazy bunch of Bastards....
The day I quit, I felt like a Human Being again.

11. Yep, several of those kinds of companies here...
You know it's a problem when they start changing the names of the business every few years. I had one company who had 4 different names in less than three years. Then when the systems broke down within a few months, the customer wouldn't be able to find them to cover the 'warrenty'.
