9/11 Dead Are Left In Fresh Kills Garbage Dump.....
a caller to randi rhodes
from the 7/24/06 randi rhodes show on air america.

it was a mother who lost her 26 year old son in the trade towers on 9/11--"diane in scotch plains new jersey" said:

"let me tell you about this compassionate president. i don't know if you know but the remains of the people who died--all but 290 of them--have been thrown in the fresh kills garbage dump. the remains are in the garbage. and we have asked for them to be taken out of the garbage so that we can give them a decent burial, according to religious rituals, and they have told us...they don't even talk to us. the bottom line is that it's too expensive, they're in the garbage, they're leaving them there."

"this is this religious, compassionate regime..."

"i don't even know how many americans know that the 9/11 dead are in a garbage dump, ironically called the fresh kills garbage dump. they didn't give us money so that we could leave him in a dump. and instead, they've taken my dead son--who lies unburied, like the epitome of an insult--and they use him in his name to do whatever the hell they want."

"look who we just sent to broker any kind of peace--i mean, condeleezza rice is there, right? she couldn't figure out what a memo meant in august before my son was killed; she lied, she lied to the commission and that's who we honor, and that's who we send. please...please...we give creditability to her and we don't bury my kid."

"...and then you can't even have a gravesite; you don't even have a gravesite. although you could. but we will not have a gravesite because it's too expensive. we will spend two hundred billion plus on this war and we cannot bury my son. it's too expensive."

"obviously my son was a disposable entity--he was collateral damage."

i guess i didn't realize this was STILL the case.
how about a law to bury our dead from 9/11?

This story is horrific, but I'm positive that it's the truth.

* & Co has NO RESPECT for any human life save their own. :puke:

And...If the public REALLY knew the WHOLE truth behind 9/11 there would be a revolution.

NO DOUBT! :grr:

12. It Is A Fact! Here's The NY State Assembly Page

http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A09304

It is disgustingly true. The 9/11 dead are rotting in a garbage dump.

I wonder why the chimp doesn't have a problem with that?

No...wait a minute. I know why he doesn't...hell, he probably picnics there when he can!

23. I don't understand your remark. the source is a grieving mother
talking on the radio, the only radio I might add that would allow her. do you imagine o'liar would allow her to besmerch his hero? I guess grieving mothers are fucked in this country unless they are crying on the little dictator's shoulder. Correct me on my impression of your remark if I have missed your point.

8. I'm Sorry, Ma'am
Every time I think the GOPs have morally bottomed, I get a surprise.
I first of all apologize for the way my country has treated the remains of these people.
It was Chimpy and company that did it. But I haven't renounced my citizenship. These scoundrels are draped in my flag.
I am beside myself. If I had Chimpy here I'd have to repeatedly whip his sorry ass for it.
If I were to blast out every bit of profanity I know it wouldn't start to express my distaste for this.
I suspect the unidentified remains might have been mass cremated and put under a marker.
Perhaps it can be done.
The next time one of these pigtards waxes all religious he should be confronted with this.

11. Old news. NYC looked into it, and low and behold, it's a bit misleading
The litigating party would like you to believe that entire bodies were dumped into the trash site. That's not true at all. Basically, tiny fragments of human bone, very small pieces of flesh and ash remains were almost certainly transported with and in the rubble that was left after the towers fell.

I do totally sympathize with the families, but the cost of the proposed program is expected to be about 450 million dollars, to an already cash-strapped city.

Would you take away the cold water bottles given away during a blackout just so we can find a couple of bone fragments? Or maybe cut back on homeless shelters, day care funding, meals-on-wheels or why not just cut back on any number living human services. The reality is that a meticulus examination of the remains happened after 9-11, which lasted until about 2 years ago. DNA testing was done on each and every fragment or tissue that was found at the site and returned to the families for burial. Those that could not are still held at the coroner's office, pending new methods of identifcation.

This may sound cold-hearted, but I think that it would be a far better thing for the 450 million to be spent on people who desperatly need the help to get by and live to the next day, not just seeking closure. As well, the city has promised to build an expansive memorial park at the site and it has been closed to refuse disposal since the tragedy.

13. I read both your article and the family site
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 03:50 AM by uhhuh
And I would say that they should not have been transported to a garbage dump in the first place! The familes were told that they would get the remains, It would be very costly, obviously. Maybe the chimp could scrape $450 mil out of the unnecessary defense budget and make sure that the people whose deaths he most loves to exploit don't get buldozed into a huge pile of trash, which is then prettified into some sort of park!

The site was a crime scene, and yet they couldn't move fast enough to clear away all the evidence, including the dead. The site could have been cleared carefully at the time in order to preserve evidence, and the dignity of those who perished and their families. They didn't, and now they should do what it takes to make things right.

why & how the towers fell while separating the body parts from the rubble?

Why is that too much to ask?

16. I know a NYC cop who was on the Garbage detail
And, it's NOT just "tiny fragments." That's wrong. They were told to ignore anything thatw asn't a "total body part." He actually found someone's buttocks, and was told to throw it back in. A hand was accepted, because of fingerprints. Just part of an arm, no. A leg and foot? It's a keeper. Just a leg or just a foot? No. A chine? Yeah, if the jaw (read teeth) were attached, no if not. No torsos unless a limb was attached. A scalp? Nope, not unless you had the head, too.

I'm not making this up. He said it was physically and emotionally sickening. Physically for obvious reasons, emotional for both obvious and less obvious reasons. He said there were plenty of parts to do DNA testing on, and it made him sick to not be able to help the families. They (the cops) were told it was too much work and too expensive.

This officer is a friend's brother, and I heard this from his own mouth.

19. Jesus...
Would it have been too much to ask to first extract the steel from the mound (like with big magnets), and then bury the rest in some sort of hallowed ground (with a monument list those killed in the attacks)?

It sounds like they just couldn't be bothered.:grr:

They never, EVER bother to make that "extra little effort" for the sake of human decency or kindness. The phrase "do the right thing" is just meaningless to these people.

we didn't know--the american people didn't know this was happening. i guess there isn't much we can do about it--contacting our reps--what could they do? pass a law saying we need to get the 9/11 dead out of the garbage dump? unfortunately, i'm thinking that much of what was put into fresh kills has deteriorated.

17. As a New Yorker, we heard a lot about careful sifting--thx LostinVA
There even was a documentary showing how each truckload of WTC debris was carefully sorted for human remains and valuables before the remainder was dumped in the landfill.

But LostinVa's account -- that many body parts were thrown back into the rubble for burial in the landfill -- is very shocking news to me. It really is disgusting.

BTW, the name, "Fresh Kills" has nothing to do with killing. In the northeast, some places still have Dutch place names. A "kill" is a creek, so Fresh Kills originally just meant "Fresh Creek." It's the same origin as Catskills, Kill van Kull, and so on.

This effing *co administration - every last damn one of them - have sold their souls to the devil. My Gawd...there are just no words to express my outrage about this. It's so WRONG, it's sick, disgusting, revolting. What about the closure for those families, knowing their loved ones remains are in a GARBAGE DUMP? It's evil, that's what it is.

This is an issue that could have some traction IMO. We should be spreading it far and wide; KO, Tweety, Cafferty, Lou Dobbs, and everyone else I haven't named. And locally! It has all the elements of a potential hit: pain & suffering, 911, family, mom & apple pie, and religious rituals. Let me say that again: RELIGIOUS RITUALS. That's what burial is after all - one of the most ingrained, oldest religious/spiritual rites known in human history. This is a core belief of mankind.

edit: grammer

to China and now have silver coins, which have small little twin towers that you can prop up and get all erect over.

I swear lizard people run my fucking country, no humans to be found. :(
