Check out Neil Young's "Living With War" homepage and online album

I needed to hear his music again today so went back to his site. He now has a news/reviews/links page that is very worth reading. And he's added a lot of links to other protest music and videos. Including, of course, the audio of his new album -- maybe you need another listen again today. And if you haven't heard it yet, maybe now is a good time.

1. Just saw Neil Sunday night
along with Crosby, Stills, and Nash :D

Awesome concert! When they sang "Impeach The President", the lyrics were played on the telecasters...everyone was up and singing!

I bought the Living With War t-shirt along with the CSNY Tour one.

3. What a great experience!
Gatherings like that remind us of the human side of things instead merely being positioned as mere observers of the power-money-greed slaughters all around us.

I was pleased to see him use the net this way, to go beyond the album-promo format and bring news and provide connections to other kindred artists' works.
Here's his list of progressive music mp3s: http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/lwwsongspage.html

2. Yeah. Great work there. Will read/listen/view more.
(As an aside, I admit to having ripped the Living With War audio off the original site and recording it on CD. But as soon as it became available in the shops over here (Spain) I purchased three copies for my own use).

But still it was the Dixie Chicks who made it to number one!

Keep it up, Neil.

4. I have listened to it more often that any other album, probably.
(At least recently, for certain.) Online, and the audio through a $10 pair of speakers is less than stunning. And I heard people complain that his voice had aged. But there is so much truth and integrity in his message, and a great artist can make great music with any instrument, however limited. He moves through the set, with one message after another, and despite noting the horrors around us, leaves a message of hope that what we once believed about ourselves might yet become true..

5. I've had it bookmarked for quite a while now.
But haven't checked it out lately. I'll go have a look see.
