2. What if a coalition of other countries went ahead and negotiated a
peace without the participation of the U.S.? What are they waiting for? Is it that they need U.S. money in order to effect a peace?

Instability to ensure. Oil to drive a little higher. Peace may be patriotic. Peace may take courage. But, peace don't ensure record Q2 profits.
