Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund & Imus promoting
Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

http://fallenheroesfund.org/fallenheroes/index.php

about:

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is constructing a world-class state-of-the-art advanced training skills facility at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The center will serve military personnel who have been catastrophically disabled in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The center will also serve military personnel and veterans severely injured in other operations and in the normal performance of their duties, combat and non-combat related.

The center will encompass a 60,000 square foot structure, providing ample space and facilities for the rehabilitation needs of the patients and their caregivers. It will be constructed on a site sufficient in size to meet the needs of the center’s patients and caregivers and will include $3.5 million in top of the line indoor and outdoor facilities.

************I was thinking about donating to this fund.....I heard Imus pushing this and thought.hey thats a great idea.......
then later on with his rants against the Democratic speakers( Gore.Clinton)......I changed my mind..

Does Imus think that Republicans are the only ones interested in this?..Does he really want to help these men.........he sure as hell isn't showing it.....he bashes the Democrats all the time......hell.....nobody...and I mean nobody will ever get my money again.if these crazy right wingers keep asking for support and financial support and then turn around and bash MY Party!!...........

I am also writing to this foundation and suggesting they not allow Imus to push for their cause.as he turns more away then he'll get

4. He comes across to me as a bit of a Quisling
I know that he considers it his "schtick" but it falls flat, IMO. The old fool should give his program to his wife, she'd probably do a better job of it.

8. Surely you jest!
The VA is being downsized and funds are being cut. That's what this glorious
admin is really good at.

i'm glad he is speaking up for the vets. He was accusing the right wing of talking the talk but not supporting vets.

I agree with Imus whether you support the war or not - which he doesn't - the vets deserve support.

6. If Imus is promoting it I would be very suspicious. This could end up
being some big tax give away for Big Wigs like Imus. He already deducts for his Ranch for Kids with cancer.

Given the way things are going out there this Foundation could be a sham. Look at all the supposed Charities and Schools Abramoff was giving to who never got the money.

Imus is a shill. Let Russert and Tweety give to this Foundation. I'd rather give to independent Veterans groups. The Corporations who got us into Iraq should be donating the bulk of funds to repairing the broken bodies they've caused. The rest of us out here will be paying in taxes the rest of our lives for it.

7. I disagree; Imus may be a lot of things, but
he's really good at raising money, he has causes he's devoted to, and he's relentless.
I'd bet you money this is all on the up and up, and he's doing it because he can and
feels it's worthy.

10. Why would you trust him when he's attacted Democrats over Repugs
time after time. He made Gore and Kerry sound like fools...he constantly has his news media shills like Russert, Fineman, Matthews and the rest on...who kiss up to him as if he's God.

Why would you give him a break on his morality? He is a Corporatist and has done very well for GE/MSNBC and other folks who give him money to wear his outfits and push his pet causes. He has too much influence to be just an ordinary good hearted curmudgeon doing good for the needy.

At one time Imus did poke fun at everyone...but he sold out long ago when he started working for Jack Welch/GE.

9. ...and just who would handle the construction work?
I've read that lots of construction firms are employing day labor, mostly illegal immigrants.
