Opinion of Princess Diana accident photo...
Recently published in an Italian magazine...

What do people think about this?

There doesn't seem to be an uproar when dead soldiers, murder victims etc are splashed on the news...

We have all seen the Zapruder film ad nauseum, and the photo of Robert Kennedy lying in a pool of his own blood is well known..

Yet these photo's of Diana in the car, which are not at all graphic (at least the published ones), receive such harsh condemnation...

I'm just wondering why, and is it a bit hypocritical?

2. I do...but
I didn't want to offend anyone...or get in trouble with the mods

If you google "Diana" and "Chi" one of the first links up shows the cover of the news magazine

4. Now that I've seen the photo, it's not in color and isn't very graphic...

...compared to the Zapruder film or the pic of Bobby on the kitchen floor at the Ambassador Hotel.

3. Good question...
...although I can't judge because I haven't seen the Diana photos.

The whole Princess Diana dying thing was so emotionally overwrought - I never quite understood why.

5. Didn't look too bad to me
Thought it might have been her wearing a Mercedes steering wheel as a halo.

The moral is - if you're travelling in the back seat of a Mercedes S Class do the seat belts up. It's the seat belts engaging which allows the stock curtain airbags to function. Airbags would probably have saved her.

6. Getting her fucking picture taken would have saved her
She was a public figure who depended on the press to make her living, and would have been extremely offended if they stopped taking her picture altogether.

7. I don't know why people even remotely care about her
Perhaps everyone has forgotten, but she was a worthless member of the landed aristocracy--a good for nothing class of blood sucking leeches. Why should anyone care about her? She was shallow and poorly educated and interested only in her own fame, and, sickeningly enough, used the misery of poor and ill people to increase her own stature. Even Charles is a more plausible champion of everyday values than she was.

8. *shrug*
Don't really care, but then again I didn't understand why people paid so much attention to her when she was alive, either. I mean, she married a guy who's mom is a head of state. Woo-boy. That's interesting.
