In Past 2 Weeks-More Iraqis Have Died Than Lebanese Or Israelis (NYT) |
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 12:10 PM by kpete
Sending in additional troops is an implicit acknowledgment of what every Iraqi in Baghdad already knows: Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki’s original Baghdad security plan has failed. In the past two weeks, more Iraqi civilians have been killed than have died in Lebanon and Israel.more at: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/26/world/middleeast/26military.html?_r=3&ref=world&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

1. The U.S. has created such a horrible situation in Iraq... |
that I'm at a loss for words. What have we done??? Why??? Iraq is a war crime, no doubt about it. I'd say most of us here predicted this war was a grave mistake.

3. I recall being condemned by some DUers for my opposition to invasion... |
...including some that are still posting here, who said things like "who do you believe, Saddam Hussein or the U.S. government?" The answer to that question is pretty self-evident now, and those posters have become opponents of the occupation, at least those who are still here. Early on there was some confusion over how one can "support the troops" without supporting what they're doing.

2. Baghdad Alone Has More Murders Each Day! |
Baghdad alone sees more murders each day than the Hezbollah/Israel conflict. In fact, Baghdad alone sees more murders each day than the entire US
