  I've noticed a real increase in the direct and indirect swipes from posters which hint (sometimes not-so-subtly) that Democratic Underground somehow endorses the opinions of those speak their mind here, especially in regards to the debates on the Middle East situation.

  You want to label a particular poster as something very nasty because of their opinion, fine.

  You want to label a whole group of posters as something very nasty because of their opinions, fine.

  But don't go saying or insinuating that just because 7 out of 10 people disagree with you that Democratic Underground is somehow a conspiracy to promote that nasty idea you keep labeling them with. This sort of thing has been going on since at least 2002 when someone made the accusation publicly and frankly it's just hateful.

9. I agree 100% - This is LARGE Message Board, not a homogeneous

group of Democrats. Please remember, being Democratic, we all (especially me) must at time reflect to ensure that we are being tolerant of opinions we do not necessarily agree with.

Especially with regard to the ME Crisis, we all have different background. However, I have learned a great deal, both good and bad, on both sides of this conflict.

I am personally humbled to be around such, in general, thoughtful and highly intelligent posters.

Let's all consider that we are all looking for justice and and a lasting peace for all the peoples around the world?

Again, we can NOT fall into the Right Wing nut-case trap of generalizing "a political personality type" (Leftists! America Haters! Israel Haters! Muslim Haters! Ad Nausea) to such a diverse group of people within this message board.
