“It’s painful to say that, but when you fire missiles from sophisticated aircraft on unarmed civilians in Gaza, those are again, the definition to me of ... ,” he said, pausing to find the right words.

“Terrorism is a very heavily laden word,” he continued. “But to me, what the key thing is, what are you doing? Are your actions in violation of the international norms of the Geneva Convention, and so on? And I think it’s sad to say, but it’s clear, yeah.”

Hear hear. I don't think he can win, but I like to see the New York Times giving coverage to someone who's not willing to challenge a Goliath for what's right.

1. If he gets 25-30 percent in the primary it will be a powerful reminder

to Hillary that she isn't going to have a free ride in '08.

So I don't know if he can even manage that, unless his Wellstone-like campaign truly mobilizes the antiwar voters -- who should know Clinton is on Bush's side on this issue.

She's Clinton, and all those who go and vote in the Primary -- well, probably 90% of them will have never heard of Tasini.

But I still hope he fights, and makes Clinton at least a little aware that not everyone will stand her compliance with murder.
