Talking points out today are "Howard Dean is "over the top"
Edited on Wed Jul-26-06 08:20 PM by madfloridian
"Howard Dean is "over the top"...and then put a statement he made in Florida today.

Earlier this week it was Kerry who was so bad, saying the same thing basically.

Even Kucinich was accused of being in the pocket of Israel.

Was it Boxer or Pelosi who was blasted next. I forget.

Then forget that Maliki was spouting WH rhetoric in his speech, almost every word Cheney like.

Forget that Bush has put our Democrats in a terrible situation right now. There is no way they can not get blasted.

I have been following what they have been saying, all of them...they are saying the same thing about Maliki.

I think something important is going on, and we don't know the whole of it.

Count the number of times "over the top" is used here tonight.

Some of you here have blasted every single Democrat who doesn't support Hezbollah...and that is just not realistic at all.

3. They can not say how they feel. We are free to do so, they are not.
Unfortunately that is true. People at DU, even me partially, think they should criticize Israel for what they are doing.

They are in a tight spot on this. They can't do it right now. And Maliki has not condemned Hezbollah, and I don't condemn him for that...but our Democrats probably should.

Otherwise it will look bad because the government we are responsible for putting in Iraq is against our buddy Israel.

That makes Bush look bad, and it makes his admin look like a failure. They are pointing it out in a way.

2. Oh, just because we don't support the new Democrat strategy of
be even more racist and right wing than the Republicans, doesn't mean we are blasting "every single Democrat who doesn't support Hezbollah" -- that's hyperbole if I've ever heard it. It's "love it or leave it" "you're on our side or their side" rhetoric.

4. Other obnoxious Talking Points out today.
If you condemn the stridently Pro-Israeli political posturing and cynical "gamemanship", you are a Hezbollah terrorist sympathizer.

Some of you here have blasted every single Democrat who doesn't support Hezbollah...

5. Sorry you feel that way, but it is true.
Some are measured, but some of the rhetoric here is way overboard. I agree we should not be standing 100% with any country, and I disagree with our Dems doing this.

I just think they don't have the luxury right now as every word they say is blasted over the world.

Some of the stuff here is not measured and reasonable.

6. And THIS kind of slurring is not measured and reasonable:

"Some of you here have blasted every single Democrat who doesn't support Hezbollah..."

So spare the pious intonations of "measured and reasonable".
